Amy Carter - Director/Pre-K/2's Class
My husband and I have 3 children who have all been in the Franklin School System, I’ve taught at the preschool for 12 years. I took on the director role 8 years ago. I have personal experience with an intense, research-based phonics program called Orton Gillingham. This is a multi-sensory approach to reading, spelling and writing and I’ve seen first-hand how valuable this type of instruction is to young scholars like the ones in my pre-k class.
I am an active member at Turning Point Church, volunteering to do several things such as teach Sunday School and run the Coffee Cart on Sunday mornings, and I clean the building each week. I love spending time with my friends and family and I’m an avid reader. I also enjoy knitting! One fun fact about my family is my children have shown dairy steers at the Johnson County Fair for 8 years. Be sure to stop by the cattle barn and say "hello"!

Leann Dixon / Preschool Teacher/2's Class
I am a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in English Education. After teaching English for 30 years in public schools, including Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers High Schools, I retired in 2020. I then became the children’s ministry leader for Turning Point Church in February 2021, and I eagerly began a second career at Learn-A-Lot Preschool in August the same year. I have absolutely fallen in love with teaching preschoolers!
My husband Neil and I have been married for 27 years. He is an architect with his own company. We have two married children and three grandchildren. Our twin grandchildren, now eight-years-old, graduated from Learn-A-Lot Preschool the spring of 2021.
Turning Point has been our church home since 2011. With my love of crafting and working with children, vacation Bible school has become a passion for me, so I am your go-to person for VBS information! At home I enjoy spending time with my three dogs, crafting, and watching old television sitcoms.
Jenny Chapman - Pre-K Teacher
I taught at Learn-A-Lot Preschool from 2007-2012. After a hiatus working full-time and a move to Florida and back, I returned to work at Learn-A-Lot in 2022. In this time, I also earned a degree in criminal justice.
I have been married for thirty-one years and have three grown children. My son Tyler is 24 years old; Kayla is my oldest daughter at 21 years old; and Savanna is the youngest at 17 years old. All three of my children attended Learn-A-Lot Preschool.
I love spending time on the beach whenever I get an opportunity to vacation. I also enjoy scrapbooking and spending time with my dogs. I enjoy every year at Learn-A-Lot!

I am a graduate of WCHS and Ball State University with a degree in Special Education. I taught for over 23 years in the public schools. I started Learn-A-Lot Preschool over 25 years ago, and I now lend my expertise when called upon. I feel blessed to be a part of this team of ladies!
My husband and I have 2 sons who are married, and four grandchildren who are the light of our lives.
I call Turning Point Church my home. I volunteer time teaching classes and enjoying various roles on the praise team including playing percussion instruments. Photography was a hobby of mine which has turned into a part time business. I love reconnecting with people and meeting new ones because of my camera. My eye is always looking around to see the beauty God has created and thinking of ways to use it in my craft.
